I like this story! It isn't the usual Xander finds his real father (which I like), it has the twist of Xander finding siblings and a whole new magical heritage. Excellent! And...do I detect a hint of a Daniel/Jack pairing? Good! I wonder how you're going to get them all together. I'll be tracking this story.

Yes! Well human scarifice have been done by another authors so how about an animal scarifice. If that doesn't float your boat how about a robbery.
