I just loved this story, the whle drama of it and the wonderful changes that came along with Clark's decision were just brilliant to read.

I stayed up really late reading this story and it's absolutely worth every extra cup of caffeine that I am facing tomorrow. What a beautiful way to integrate two different time lines with the wonder that is Clark and Lex in Smallville. You have a true talent for writing all of them because I can totally see Jonathon asking Clark to give up Lex and Clark doing so as the dutiful son. He's so self-sacrificing almost to a painful degree. I really hope you write more CLEX stories and Thank You for writing this one. I love the full circle and Lex getting the wrong idea and Lois and rash self-judgments and thinking she knew Clark inside and out without thinking he had any depth. My only comment is I would have loved to have seen Lex knock Lois down a few steps and asking if she thought he was participating in the agriculturally based world that is Smallville with Clark's greased pig contests.
