Interesting. I'm afraid a beta would have been good -- there are a fair few homonym errors and grocers' apostrophes this chapter -- but you've got a decent command of plot and dialogue. Some of the voices are a bit off, and I don't remember Gar ever calling Starfire "Star", but this makes for a good read. I look forward to seeing the old Xander come out and play a bit more as the shock wears off.

If the author is only going to use one word to describe a person, then the distinction of "blonde" vs. "blond" is important. Blonde = woman, blond = man. Like fiancee/fiance or brunette/brunet. Blame the French language for those.
Other than a few common spelling errors (collage instead of college, plus those mentioned above), it's a pretty decent story. Some of the descriptions are a little basic, and there aren't any big words. It's a good story for anyone with a low reading level, and a relaxing read for everyone else.
Keep the chapters coming.
