The Big Red Button by

Omega-Zed looked over the chaos that had enveloped the multiverse: Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies; rivers and seas boiling; forty years of darkness; earthquakes, volcanoes; the dead rising from the grave; human sacrifice; dogs and cats living together - mass hysteria.*
And the Agents of the COA were helpless to do anything about it. Their efforts to rein in the chaos were only making things worse. Mistress Jinni was…distracted. There was only one thing to do. He inserted his key into the console, and turned it.
Alarms blared, red lights flashed, and the black and yellow striped safety cover slid back from over the Big Red Button.
“Sir! Are you sure you want to do this?” asked Theta-P.
“It’s the only way,” said Omega-Zed. “If we don’t stop this now, the multiverse will never recover.”
“Yes sir, I understand sir,” said Theta-P. It shook its head in resignation. It never thought it would see the day when Omega-Zed would have to resort to activating the UPD (Ultimate Plot Device.)
Omega-Zed reached out, and pushed the button.
---Buffy was awakened by a lurch, and a sudden twinge of pain from the wound in her side. She looked around the interior of the school bus, and saw that the uninjured Slayers were starting to move about, helping the others. Faith was sitting with Robin, who was unconscious again but still breathing. She looked out the window and saw the big “Emergency” sign pointing to the hospital entrance. It looked like they’d made it.
Dawn was sitting beside her. “Are you okay?” she asked, worry written all over her face. “You were out for quite a while.”
“Yeah, I’m fine, Dawn.” Buffy tried to sit up straighter, but winced from the stabbing pain that shot through her side. “I think I’m going to need a few stitches though, but I can wait until after the others are taken care of.”
“Are you sure?” asked Dawn. “Maybe you should try to get some more sleep.”
“No, I don’t want to go back to sleep,” said Buffy. “I was having a really weird dream.”
