“Look, I can explain everything that just happened,” the tall guy said.

Dawn looked up from the ground with scared eyes. ‘It’s going to be fun playing with Winchester over this,’ she thought to herself.

“You see, that guy that was chasing you, well, he’s an escapee,” he paused as he pulled out a badge to show her. “I’m working to catch him.”

Dawn couldn’t help it anymore and began to laugh. “You could have just said, ‘I have explanations of the weird kind,’ and left it at that. But good spiel, even if the delivery could use some work.”
