Chapter 5
I own none of the characters in this story. They either belong to Joss Whedon or J.K. Rowling.
"Okay, we need to stop right now," Harry said as soon as they got out of the dungeons. "I don't really know who you are, but judging from the past few minutes, I think you're insane."
Faith stopped walking and let him go. "Sorry," she said. She leaned against the wall. "I really am. I didn't realize how crazy I was being."
"Faith!" Snape yelled. He came up to them, his eyes blazing in anger. "Potter, I swear to Merlin if you touched my daughter..."
"Chill Dad, nothing happened," Faith said. She pulled Harry out of the way of her angry father. "And nothing is going to. Just chill out."
"Chill out?" Snape asked. "You want me to chill out? Faith, I don't understand what's going on with you. First you come to me for help, but then you act like you don't want anything to do with me. Then, you drop two Death Eaters into my classroom, drag one of my students out to have sex and act like nothing is wrong. Now I want to know what exactly is going on with you because I don't know what to do with you."
"I don't know, okay?" Faith snapped. "I don't know what the hell I'm doing anymore. God, I wish I hadn't come here. Things were so much simpler back at home. I was the Slayer fighting for my redemption and trying not to go off the deep end again. Here, I'm a target of some wizard that's human, so he's supposed to be a no-no for Slayers to kill. And not to mention I'm in between being pissed off at you and wanting to have a dad for once. So obviously, I don't know what the hell is going on with me either!" She sank down to the floor and buried her head in her hands. She felt like she was going back over the edge, and that was something she didn't want. But she had no idea how to stop herself.
"Leave us Potter," Snape ordered. Harry nodded and walked off. Snape made sure he was gone before sitting down next to Faith. "What do you want me to do?" he asked her. "Do you want me to let you go back home? Because I don't think that's an option, considering what Voldemort is going to do when he finds out what you did to Lucius and Wormtail."
"I don't know what you should do," she said. "I feel like I have to talk to Angel, but my cell phone won't work here."
He frowned. "Angel? The vampire with a soul?"
"Yup. He's my sponsor."
"Faith, what if we brought Angel and some of the Slayers here?"
"Do you want them here to help against Voldemort or to keep me from pulling another stunt like I just did?"
"Both actually."
Faith nodded. "Okay. Let's get them here."
