Meditating...

Cordelia had to wonder if Ascended could be on drugs. Oompa wanted them to meditate and focus on mastering some of their powers and a whole bunch of Yoda Jedi crap (what...she had dated Xander how long?).

Harmony's parents had had less a nasty battle. Hell, Alec Baldwin and Kim Bassinger's divorce and custody headlines were less nasty than the bitchery and fighting over all of this.

The PTB and the Ascended were so seriously a bunch of little kids fighting over their toys and not doing so well when their toys decided to not only play together but not play by anyone's rules by their own.

Shifu looked worriedly at Cordelia. She had that look. That I'm bored and I'm not sitting here staring at the walls look.

"She'll know if we go near the ranch or the mountain." Shifu pointed out unhappily. The had both been effectively banned from any contact with the SGC and especially SG1 and family until this latest round of bickering was settled, which considering the ways time really didn't exist in a lot of ways for Ascended and even more so for the Powers. It was only a couple days and might not have been noticed except for the fact Cordelia had told Jack, Daniel, Jon and Xander.

And Xander calling Willow to find out if there were any spells to give glowing squids big time owies. They'd already been lectured and reprimanded and lectured some more over that.

Oompa--Oma!--really hadn't liked Cordelia telling her that worlds, universes, realities and dimensions didn't save themselves and didn't get saved by the ones that could do anything being blinded and the ones that knew what would be coming sitting around with their thumbs up their butts.

"So we don't go to the SGC or the Ranch," Cordelia smiled.

Shifu looked at her warily.

"What?"

"We're supposed to be mastering some of our abilities as Ascended."

"And we will. We'll just do it elsewhere."

Shifu eyed Cordelia a long moment. A slow grin started spreading across his face. He wasn't any happier than Cordelia at being "grounded" and forced to stay away from the Mountain and the Ranch. After all, that was their family, and they knew about Ascended and for all he might look six he was Harcesis, and the ancestral knowledge of the race that had held so much of this universe enslaved for thousands of years. He'd allow Nana to send him to Zayn's room for "a nap until they could settle down and behave" but this...

"Where are we going?"

"Anywhere but here?" Cordelia shrugged.

Shifu grinned mischievously.
