Spike wondered just how the Whelp got himself into these situations. The boy would march happily into hell for a stranger, excitedly even. Riley had phoned the Watcher saying that Xander had been taken into custody yet again. Riley had asked if he needed to go get the Whelp again but Giles had decided that perhaps a prolonged stay with the authority’s might teach Xander to call for back up, or not get involved in staking with out a Slayer present. Fat chance thought Spike, but he wasn’t going to say that out load and jeopardize he blood and smokes supply. What he was going to do though was rescue the Whelp. He needed someone to blame for the ripped copy of Henry Frankford’s ‘Vampires on the Rise’. He only hoped that Giles didn’t find it before he got Xander loose. Hello, evil vampire here.
