Asteroid fields were not the place for a dogfight. It was bad enough that they interfered with the Dradis, but fragments of rock and larger detritus were hell on the Vipers. If they hit the canopy it was straight back to Galactica for repairs.

Starbuck jinked around some shrapnel and cheered. Suddenly an asteroid loomed in her vision, dead ahead. Before she could react, she felt a wave of energy wash over her. Grinning, the pilot hauled back on the yoke-

Which broke off in her hand.

Starbuck only had time for a shocked “Frak me,” before her Viper exploded on impact.
