Faith and Willow, after releasing the Wizards from their grasp, went to stand on either side of Giles. Dawn, having the excitement of seeing people ‘popping’ into the room as well as seeing how incredibly hot the wizard men were: was more than a little happy that she’d happened to be in that closet.

“I wasn’t expecting you,” said Giles softly.

“There’s been a slight change in plans,” said Kat while pulling a long strand of hair over her shoulder. “We’ve been found out. They know of the Slayer and Witch coming to aid us.”

“Yeah we got that,” said Faith as she crossed her arms over her chest. “The phone call was a clear clue.”

“What call?” asked Giles and Harry, Harry looking a bit more worried than Giles.

“Stay away, blah blah blah, roaring lion at the end of the message…”

“Lion?” asked Draco.

“Probably a dragon,” corrected Kat. “Loud piercing roar that makes your eardrums rattle?”

“Yeah,” said Faith and Willow.

“Dragon. And since the Knights tracked your phones then they know you are here… It is only a matter of time before they arrive. We must hurry!”

“They’re good, if they’re able to tap into human technology,” mused Harry to himself.

“I don’t trust them,” said Faith, eyes on the trio while she spoke to Giles.

“Yeah, well, I don’t trust you either,” said Draco.

“Then leave,” said Faith, glaring at the platinum blond man with piercing silver eyes that Faith knew would slice any meek person in half. Sure the guy had a hot-as-fuck body but now that they were getting to pleasantries she was quickly changing her mind about the prick. “And don’t let the magical door hit you in the ass on the way out.”

“Faith!” scolded Giles. “Do try and control your anger. You’re needed, you and Willow alone are chosen by the Ministra of Magic. If the threat is as great as they say it is…”

“Yeah, yeah,” muttered Faith. “Fine! But don’t say I didn’t warn you.”

“Yes, yes…” Then, the lights started to flicker. “Oh dear…”

“You need to shelter yourselves,” said Kat, looking at Giles and Dawn. “I sense that you’re not a Slayer.”

“No, but-”

“Get cover with your Slayers… The Knights Magic will not work with them… It would be best to evacuate!”

“Dawn, sound the alarm,” said Giles.

“But-”

“Damn it, go!”

Upset that she was missing out on leaving with Faith and Willow, Dawn twisted around and stomped out of the office to warn the others of the oncoming threat.

“They may not enter once they see these two are gone,” said Draco. “Harry?”

Harry took out a small pouch, opened it, and pulled out three large brooms. Faith and Willow were impressed, especially when seeing Harry then levitate their entire luggage into the small bag.

“I gotta get me one of those! Would make patrolling so much easier!”

A loud groan sounded outside the window, startling all of them. The sky darkened and the windows to the office shattered inward: making all turn away from the blast of glass.

“WE GOTTA GO!” yelled Kat, boarding her broom.

“Yer kiddin’ me!” Faith was silent as Kat pushed off into the night. “Huh…”

“Wow,” said Willow breathlessly.

Harry and Draco then boarded their brooms, offering their hands to the girls. Willow eagerly took Harry’s. She then gave a child-like squeal of delight, even though there was a large threat just outside the window, when the broom took off into the night.

“C’mon!” shouted Draco over the howling wind.

“Take care of yourself, G!”

“Be careful, and do try to behave.”

“Sure,” said Faith, ignoring Draco’s hand and instead bracing herself on the broom. “I will!”

Then Draco took off like a bat outta hell. Faith howled in delight as the wind whipped her hair around and the broom elevated higher and higher. Looking behind her she frowned when seeing figures swirling around the house. Then, suddenly, the whirling mass of black cloaks twisted and started toward them.

“Hang on!” yelled Draco as he leaned forward and Faith was surprised that the broom, and she’d laugh about riding a broom later, could travel this fast. With a shift of his body, they were going straight down and what was wicked about the whole thing was the rush of danger that swooped into her body. Faster and faster, spiraling to certain death as the ground became closer and closer. Then suddenly they were parallel to the ground, their reflection in the water below from a lake Faith couldn’t remember being near. Then they were in the trees, avoiding being leveled by large branches and boughs. Together they landed and Faith quickly got off of the broom.

“Harry,” hissed Draco, and when no answer was given, Draco sighed before leaning up against a tree: broom in one hand while the other pulled back the hair that’d fallen into his eyes. “Bloody hell.”

“That was them, then? The Dark Knights?”

“Yeah, and it only looked like a few. We could’ve taken them but Potter is a stickler for following the rules.”

“Hm.” Faith leaned the side of her body against the same tree he was occupying. “I don’t do well with rules and regulations.”

“Fancy that… Neither do I.” Draco then tensed and darted his hand into the depths of his cloak to pull out a wand. “Someone’s coming…”

Faith prepared herself for a fight, and felt slightly disappointed when Kat came through the thick bushes, her own wand at the ready. When seeing who it was, both wizards put their wands to the side and nodded a quick greeting.

“Glad you could join the party, now all we’re waiting for is Potter and the witch.”

“They were getting tailed by a Knight,” said Kat. “It looked like the witch, Willow right?” At Faith’s nod she continued. “Made a big green ball of energy and knocked the bastard clear off his broom. I’m thinkin’ I like her.”

“Red’s a likeable person,” said Faith, leaning back against the tree. “So what? We sit here till they find us, then…”

“Then we use the port key to get back,” said Kat as she pulled out something covered in cloth and Faith frowned in confusion when seeing what looked like a magic eight ball in Kat’s hands.

“Uh… Hate to break the news but that’s just a toy.”

“Well you’re wrong,” said Draco with a smirk. “When we touch it, it’ll bring us to London.”

“Yeah, ok,” said Faith, wondering how crazy these people really were. It. Was. A. Toy. What the hell could it do? Maybe if she shook it hard enough it’d open a portal? What the hell was she saying? In her line of work anything was possible, so she made sure not to touch the toy till she was told to.

A rustling in the trees had them looking up and Harry and Willow were soon in sight, slowly coming to the ground with a whirlwind of leaves. They landed and Willow looked pretty damn giddy while she skipped up to Faith.

“Wow, Faith, wasn’t that fun?”

“For you,” said Faith. “You got to fight!”

“Oh, I know!” Willow then smiled wider. “I whooped his Knight ass!”

“You were pretty brilliant up there, I can see why the Ministry wants you.” Harry then looked at Kat. “Got the key?”

“Yeah,” she held it out and Willow looked at it in confusion.

“But it’s a-”

“Toy,” said Faith. “Apparently not.”

“Ok, everyone grab on,” said Harry, checking what looked to be a watch, and Faith and Willow hesitated for a moment before their hands gripped the ball. “Now hang on!”

It was like her body was being pulled by her navel and Faith was whirling faster and faster in a circle. She could hear Willow gasping and Faith sure hoped that Red didn’t chuck all over her. Faith wasn’t a fan of getting puked on. She never was a fan of carousels or merry-go-rounds as a kid and now she knew why.

“Ok, let go!” yelled Harry.

“WHAT?!” screamed Willow and Faith.

“Trust me!” yelled Harry as he let go. Draco and Kat followed and with a deep breath, the girls let go too and now it was like a freefall. Their bodies were whipping around, limbs having no control until-BAM! Faith landed on her ass while Willow landed quite shakily on her feet, thanks to her mojo Faith was certain. Harry chuckled, steadying her and looked deeply into Willow’s eyes to show his mirth and slight concern.

"You get used to it. You're all right, then?"

"Yeah," she whispered, turning when hearing the cursing Faith who was standing up and brushing the seat of her pants off.

"I'm NOT doing that again!"

"Don't be a baby," said Draco, brushing off his robes after seeing a speck of grass on it.

"Shut it Drake, before I shut it for you...”

“Enough,” said Harry as he looked toward an empty lot. “We’re here.”

“Where is here?” asked Faith.

“The head quarters,” said Draco.

“But I don’t see… Oh!” Willow gasped as a large home suddenly appeared out of nowhere. “I see…”

It looked to be a three-story brick home with shutters on the windows. The full moon’s glow made it seem more cold and empty but as Harry opened the door they really had no choice but to go in. With one last look at the forestry behind them they entered before the door was closed. As soon as the door closed the lights flickered on and suddenly the house seemed warm and cozy.

“It’s a safe house. Since the Knights were on our tail I thought it best to reside here for the night,” said Harry. “We’re the only ones here, feel free to make yourselves at home while I make a few, uh, calls.”

“Ok…” Faith stepped back as her stuff was emptied out of the small pouch, as well as Willow’s. Willow made use of her magic to levitate the items to their rooms, which according to Kat: they could have their pick of.

“So what do you think?” asked Faith, her feet silent as the thick rug masked the sound of her boots against the wooden floors.

“About?”

They were walking down a hallway filled with moving pictures. She could hear the whispers of those that moved within the frames and she was doing her best not to freak out, that is… Until one picture spoke to her.

“Hello, Faithy…” Faith stilled then turned her head to stare at four, unblinking sets of eyes.

“Angel?” asked Faith, peering into the photo. When seeing the sneer from the vampire she frowned deeply when getting who was in the frame. “Angelus.”

“Oh she is so pretty,” cooed another.

“Drusilla?” asked Willow. “Darla… Spike?!”

“Oi! It’s William the Bloody to you, Witch!”

“Hm, interesting,” said Faith as she straightened. “Wonder what would happen if we set it on fire?”

The four vampires scattered to other frames and Willow and Faith shared a laugh while they continued down the hall.

“That was weird.”

“I know,” said Faith, smirking at the fearful looks the vampires had sent her way at the mention of fire. “Funny, too.”

“Yeah… So, what do you think? Of us going with these guys.”

“I don’t know. I mean, they seem legit.”

“The guy I hit, he recognized Harry… Kinda started to back off before I even got my spell working. Which was a good one too… I turned him into a loon! Oh wait… can loons fly?”

“Uh…”

“Oh well, I’m sure he just, fluttered to the ground anyway, so about Harry—He seemed dangerous to the other guy.”

“Hm, well Giles did say he was sort of hot shot, what with killing Voldemort.”

“EEK! SHE SAID HIS NAME!” squealed a little girl in a picture who had on Victorian style clothing. The puppy in her arms whimpered.

“HE WHO MUST NOT BE NAMED, MUST NOT BE NAMED!” shouted what looked to be an elf with a bow in hand and a large stock of arrows at his back.

“Oh great, Faith. You pissed off the pictures!”

“Oops?”

“I still don’t trust them.”

“Malfoy, you don’t trust anyone,” said Kat with a roll of her eyes.

“Still,” he said. “There’s something about them…”

“The Ministra requested them, they are most powerful,” said Kat. “And cute.”

“Oh keep it in your trousers,” muttered Malfoy, earning a glare from Kat.

“Guys! Stop!” Harry sighed while pulling off his cloak. “We’re here for the night so get comfortable. I contacted the Ministry and they’ll send us instruction first thing in the morning.” Harry then hesitated when laying his cloak on the back of a chair. “There was an attack tonight.”

“Where?” asked Kat and Draco.

“Diagon Alley, at Rafe’s Wand shop,” said Harry. “No one was killed but Rafe and his daughter Anastasia are in serious condition. A dragon was burned into the side of the building. It’s already starting I’m afraid.”

“Bloody hell,” muttered Draco. “I need a drink.”

He left, as did Kat because she decided she needed one too, leaving Harry alone. He sat, closed his eyes while resting the back of his head against the smooth leather of the chair, and again sighed.

It was starting all over again.

He only hoped that this time, he’d be able to stop it sooner.
