“Oh Xander...”

Willow shook her head as she rushed to his side. Staring down at him, his new eye halfway sewed on, she began to cry.

“He’s got stones the size of bowling balls to do that...”

Stephanie glared at Dawn and motioned toward Michele.

“Excuse me!”

Dawn blushed and looked away.

“Sorry... I’ve spent too much time around Faith lately.”

Willow sighed and pulled Xander onto her lap.

“He wanted to be able to see again...”

Dawn nodded and crouched down next to her.

“Do you think it would have worked?”

Willow shrugged.

“I don’t know. The file on Angel says that at least once he was ripped to shreds and was sewed back together and looks ok now... so it’s possible.”

She paused and frowned.

“I wish he had asked one of us to do this for him. It needs to be finished... but I don’t know how to sew.”

Stephanie sat down next to them.

“I do.”

She took Xander and slowly and carefully finished sewing on his eye. As she finished the last stitch, there was a small silvery blue flash that passed over his head and the stitches vanished... leaving behind a perfectly normal looking eye.

“Do you think it worked?”

Xander’s new eye blinked then closed... then both eyes opened.

“What hit me? My head feels like a nest of fire ants set up home inside it.”

He blinked his eyes and looked up at his girls... and had depth perception. He could see out of both eyes.

“Whoa... hello depth perception... ok that’s going to take some getting used to again.”

Xander reached a hand up to feel around his eye and found the area smooth.

*Where are the stitches?*

Frowning, he looked up at them and they shrugged.

“We don’t know... the stitches vanished once Stephanie finished sewing.”

Xander nodded and looked up at Stephanie. It was then he realized he was sitting in her lap.

“Um... thanks.”

With a grin, he leaned up and placed a warm kiss on her lips, then got up and walked over to Michele. When he got to her, he reached up to her and she picked him up off the ground.

“Let’s head back... we have some things to do to get ready for Angel’s arrival.”

Michele nodded and lifted Xander up so he could sit on her shoulders... then turned and took her mommy’s hand. Stephanie smiled and nodded, her lips warm from the unexpected kiss.

“Yeah... we need to get him a place to stay... away from the baby Slayers... for the time he’ll be here.”

Dawn nodded and pulled out her cellphone.

“There is an empty room in the east wing on the third floor. None of the Slayers are placed up there... and it has a freight elevator that goes to the parking garage.”

Willow nodded.

“That would work. I think the buildings around us on that side are tall enough to even block most of the sun during the day as well. Should be fine for him.”

Xander smiled and blinked, his eyes moving everywhere... enjoying full sight once again.

“Good... then let’s head back and get this going. The sooner Angel shows up, the sooner I’m back to my human sized, studly, Xander-shaped self.”

The ladies snickered at his comment, but kept their opinions to themselves as they got up and made their way back to the compound...
