--------
I didn’t know what was worse- that a five year old girl who called herself Dawn was sitting in Jean-Claude’s lap, or the fact that she was sitting in Jean-Claude’s lap, teaching him how to play video games.

And since when did Jean-Claude have a x-box anyway? I voiced that question, and Asher just kind of looked at me with this amused smile in his eyes.

“The petit une wanted something to do while we waited.”

I stared at him.

“So you went out and bought her an x-box?” Even I could taste the small envy in my voice. Jealous, who me?

“We could get one for you, if you’d like ma-patite.” Jean-claude walked up to us with a smile.

I shook my head. “No thanks.” The thought of a really old vampire like Jean-claude playing video games surprised me and I still couldn’t get used to it. Vampires and video games just don’t mesh well.
