Rules are made to be broken
Disclaimer: I don't own any of these characters.
When Dawn woke up the next morning, she was in a foul mood from being left to her own devices in the hotel suite for a good half hour previous night, but when both Winchester brothers showed up at her door the next morning with breakfast and apologies, she couldn’t stay angry with them.
It’s because they’re both so cute, she decided. Then, they told her about their plan. Her earlier mood returned, bringing with it a whole new anger,” What the hell am I, a carnival prize?”
The boys looked horrified. "It's not like that Dawn. we both like and respect you; the only fair way is to have you go out with both of us and let you decide who you want to be with." Sam told Dawn.
Dawn growled and told them to be gone before she returned as she stomped into her bedroom slamming the door behind her. Dawn could hear the boys cleaning up breakfast, and arguing over who fault it was that Dawn was angry with them.
Sam began to whine " See Dean now she doesn't want anything to do with either of us and it's all your fault.
Then Dawn heard Faith, her roommate came into the parlor hearing the commotion and laughed. She open the front door for the brothers “You guys can wait outside in that cherry car or somewhere else. She’ll call when or if she forgives you."
Faith walked into Dawn's room. " That's okay Faith I don't need any privacy I'm just having a mortifying moment almost as bad as when Buffy almost knocked my date off the Eiffel Tower."
“Dawn, what's the problem Winchester sandwich sign me up!” Faith laughed and gave a mischievous smile.
Dawn stared at Faith blushing.
Oh Goddess, waving a hand in front of her, with the image of both brothers in her mind, she smiled and went back out to the parlor stood in front of the window, and signaled for the Winchester boys to come inside.
Dean and Sam entered Dawn's apartment and held her hands up to silence the two brothers.
“Fine! I will do it, but there will be rules. 1. No sabotaging, 2. No spying. 3. No cheating!” Dean and Sam agreed. They decided that Dean had would have the last three dates and Sam had got the first ones.
---Sam had no idea where to take Dawn. He quickly scrambled in his a mind for an idea. Then he remembered that Dawn had mention a concert she wanted to go to but it had been sold out. He looked at both Dawn and Dean hating to leave her alone with Dean, but he had to do some fancy foot work if he was going to get the tickets for this sold out concert. Clearing his throat Sam said, “ Dawn, I’ll pick you up at seven.”
“Okay, see you at seven,” Dawn replied.
Once Sam got outside, he picked up his cell phone, "Hello, this is Sam Winchester. Can I speak to Craig Bailey?”
“Yes," the receptionist answered, Sam heard her announce, “ Mr. Bailey, Sam Winchester is on the phone.”
“Yo! My man, Sam! What’s up?”
“Uh, Craig, I was wondering since I got you out of that scrape in Brazil with the giant Tarantula monster, if you could get me some tickets to the Finger Eleven concert going on tonight?”
“You mean the tickets to the sold out Finger Eleven concert?” Craig asked.
“Yeah, that one,” Sam replied.
“Sure thing man, I will send the tickets by your place at five.”
“Five? Yeah, that sounds good. Thanks Craig.”
“Any time my, man!”
I am going to make sure Dawn has a great time tonight. The Plaza: Dean sunk down in chair, how he could sabotage Sam and Dawn’s date?
Hmmmn, well rules are made to be broken. Now I think following Sam will be the best thing. No going on the date with them is for the best. Sam will just crash and burn anyway. Around Five at Sam’s Home: Sam Winchester, was a pacer. When he was worried he paced and paced, usually until Dawn or some thing else knocked him back to his senses. Sam stopped in mid-stride as there was a knock at the door.
“Yes!” Sam opened the door to reveal a sleazy looking guy leaned against the door frame.
“You must be Sam Winchester?” he asked in a deep voice.
“Y.. yes” Sam stuttered.
“I believe I got something for you.” He handed Sam an envelope.
“Enjoy,” he winked at Sam and left.
Sam smiled knowing that Dawn was really going to love this concert. He hurried up the stairs and dressed in a pair of dark jeans and a deep purple shirt. He splashed some CK cologne on and headed over to Dawn’s apartment. What could go wrong? he thought.
Dawn’s Apartment Sam knocked on her door, and smiled when she opened it. She had a backless green slip dress on. Sam stared in awe.
“What?” Dawn asked as she put on her earring.
“Dawn you look absolutely wonderful.” Dawn smiled and relaxed. She grabbed a shawl as they left the apartment.
Sam hailed a taxi. A yellow car flew past, then reversed; Sam opened the door for Dawn.
“Thanks Sam,” Dawn sat down and strapped in. Sam was barely in the taxi as car sped away from the curb at heart wrenching speed.
“WHOA!” Sam fell side ways into Dawn. am looked into the front seat and saw the cab driver grin mischievously.
“Sir, where do you wanna go?”
Sam sighed. He leaned forward. “The Starlight Arena. ”
“Right oh!” the driver swerved “Cause of all the traffic around the area, I will take a shortcut.”
“Uh, okay as long as we get there by 8:15 its okay.”Sam replied. As they drove on Sam stared at the front seat trying to figure out why the cab driver seemed so familiar to him.
Dawn turned to look at Sam, “Starlight Arena, I swear I’ve seen that name around town… isn’t that where the Finger Eleven concert is?”
“It was a surprise Dawn,” Sam smiled.
--- The taxi driver pulled his cap down lower over his face. Dean was a master of disguise. If he was going to pull it off as the taxi driver from hell, he was going to do it in style. He was going to get lost, so they would have no prayer of getting to that concert. Dean had done such a good job they were so lost in the middle of suburbia that, he swerved missing a light and headed straight for the side of a house with a loud crash. Dean thought,
Thank God it was empty, and everyone is okay. “THIS IS WHY I HATE TAXIS!” Sam bellowed. They had crashed into the side of someone living room, only God knows how they managed to survive.
“Sam, calm down. It’s not that bad” Dawn got out of the taxi. They surveyed the scene realizing no one was home or hurt.
“Calm down? Dawn! We crashed into a family’s living room!” Sam got out of the car, dusting himself off with an perplexed, angry, and annoyed look on his face.
“Well Sam, we are going to handle this nice and methodically; find the taxi driver, then call the police and they can come and charge this taxi driver and we can be on our merry way to the Finger Eleven concert."
“Dawn, when you call the cops, you better tell them that... um... the taxi driver is not in the taxi.” Sam told her.
Now it was Dawn’s turn to look unbelieving.
