Faith frowned at the boot. Hold the boot and it would zap her to Egypt? We-eeelll, okay. Giles said so. Buffy couldn't go because of Dawn. *snort* Buffy had to get over being the center of the universe and all chosen and destined to woe-is-me to really be there for the teen who was getting lost in the crush of all the searching for baby slayers. Giles was keeping a close watch on Dawn though, and Buffy was the best one to train all the fresh faced little kiddies. Faith sure as hell didn't want that job.
Willow had to do the mojo searching out the slayers she'd created. Kennedy was glomped onto Willow so tight that they were going to need to be surgically separated one of these days. Kennedy wasn't quite experienced enough either to be sent off on her own, even if she was one of the few Baby Slayers old enough to not only drive but vote as well.
Xander had volenteered to go with her. Faith thought mostly to get away from the smothering that was Willow all worried about how withdrawn the dark haired young man had been since Anya's death. Willow had ran to Giles who managed to forbid Xander from going. He was needed with Willow and Kennedy and the small group that would be taking over the Cleveland Hellmouth.
As smothery as Willow was, Kennedy held her in check or at least kept her distracted enough not to completely suffocate Xander and the fact that Xander was going to be official watcher guy with four slayers of his very own and responsibility seemed to put a spark some life back into Xander even if it was the babbling petrified "G-man have you lost your friggin mind--me?" variety.
"What the--" Faith yelped as she felt the sudden surge of magic on the old boot and a tugging sensation around her navel before the world went dark.

"Okay, what the
fuck!?" Faith shouted immediately going into a fighting crouch with her favorite knife drawn and her backpack dropped in one fluid motion.
"Ms. Wilkins? I'm Grapple Crosstone"
Faith blinked.
"This is Bill Weasley, our top curse breaker. You'll be working with him the Rashaman Estate is his assignment."
"Uh huh." Faith eyed the strange little creature a moment longer. "Giles said that there were real Goblins running a bank, but da-yam" she turned her attention to the man....wizard if the whole lot of bunk Giles had gone on about was fact. She didn't doubt it was, not after all she'd seen, but it was still kinda hard to swallow. Even after life in SunnyD. Tall, coppery hair pulled back in a pony tail. Crowsfeet prematurely around his eyes from squinting in dark caverns or against desert sun, but not unattractive. The crowsfeet put him from
cute to
hot well something. Whatever. For him they worked.. He would have been too little boy young-cute without them. Fang earring or not fang earring. Tall and it was rather hard to tell if he was the one in a billion redhead that actually tanned or the sun had freckled him so much he just looked tan in the dimlight of the Bank (or at least Giles said the boot would take her inside a bank) "So, what's the sitch copper-top?"
