Natasha stared at her mother. "Oh no. No, no, no, no, no!" Dawn reached for her daughter but Natasha pulled back. "How dare you do this to me? Just because you've found some wonderful guy that you won't tell me about in Scotland, you're sending me off to England?"

Dawn knew that tone all too well because she had used that tone on both Buffy and her mother when she was younger. "Tash, you have to understand, Deargal and I are working together."

"As well as doing the gropey-feely thing! Mom, how can you do this to me? The only person I know in England is Grandpa Giles and he isn't in England! He's here!" Natasha's dark blue eyes glared up at her from under her auburn hair. Dawn knew that everyone thought that Natasha got the auburn hair from her grandfather's side of the family but Dawn knew better.

"Natasha Joyce Summers, you listen to me now! I am not sending you off! Aunt Buffy will be dropping you off at the airport in a week and there's nothing you can do about it!" Natasha glared at her mother for a moment then stormed out, pushing past Buffy, who was standing at the door.

Dawn sank onto her bed with her head in her hands. Buffy could tell by her ragged breath that her little sister was trying hard not to cry.

"Gee, you handled that well. So, who's this Deargal that I've heard so much about?" Buffy sat next to her and Dawn leant her head against Buffy's shoulder.

"He's a man in Scotland that I'm working with. We're going to Scotland a few days before Natasha goes to England."

"So you really are sending Tash away while you're off with a man who isn't Charlie?" Buffy and Faith were the only two people who knew about Charlie and how Dawn had met him.

"Buffy, please. Charlie's in Romania, dealing with dragons and he probably doesn't even remember me."

"Dawnie, he's probably had a clone of you walking around his house every day for fifteen years. Of course he remembers you."

"Then he probably hates me. I didn't realise I wasn't ready to get married. I was seventeen, Buffy!" Dawn, who couldn't hold back the torrent of tears any longer, cried onto Buffy's shoulder. "I wish he was here! I wish I didn't have to do anything hard anymore, that he'd take care of me but no! I get screwed over!" Dawn's pain was suddenly replaced by anger.

"Dawnie, I've been feeling the exact same thing ever since Spike died. Angel's always been there, but he has a girlfriend now and he loves her and they even adopted. I've learnt to let go and deal. You should deal with the pain instead of hiding behind the false image of the woman who's willing to go out with any guy just to get rid of the memory of her ex-husband and a second child." Buffy stood up and left the room without a backward glance, leaving Dawn to wallow in self pity.

Natasha was hiding from everyone in a huge tree in the backyard of their house in Cleveland. She knew she couldn't hide there forever, but it was the closest she could get to solitude. She was still angry at her mother but she didn't want to stay mad at her.

Soon enough, Karina, Xander and Faith's daughter, found her. "Yo, what are you doin up there? Da says we're orderin Chinese." Natasha lived in one house with her mum, Aunt Buffy, Aunt Willow, her adopted son: Clay, Uncle Xander, Faith and their three children, Michael, Karina and Bryan, but thanks to some of her Aunt Willow's friends, they'd been able to make it bigger but it still looked the same on the outside.

"Cool." Mick followed Kari out and watched his best friend sit and sulkily answer his little sister's comment.

"Tash, come on down here. Your ma's locked up in her room and she won't come out."

"Mick? What's wrong with me?" Tash asked quietly. Mick made a motion to Kari and she slipped quietly inside. "Why did my dad leave us? Was it because of me?"

"Your ma left your Da. Dunno why but she did and now she wished she hadn't, I'm guessing."

"But Mick, I always felt like a part of me was missing, what if that's my dad? What if he's waiting for me to go to him?"

"Tash, there's nothing you can do but come down and eat with your family." Natasha sighed and climbed slowly down the tree to receive a huge hug from her best friend. "You had us all worried there for a sec. Now, come on, Da cooked us up some risotto."

Natasha shot an indignant look to Mick and growled. "What about my Chinese?"

"No such thing. We just wanted you to come down."

"Please? I swear I'll be good and I won't do anything, I swear." Charlie looked at his daughter.
"Are you telling me, you want to go to England for a summer camp? Why don't you go to one here?"

"Because then Bryce won't be there. Please?" Susanna turned her puppy eyes on him. Charlie knew that those blue eyes belonged to Dawn, not to him but no one else but Bill knew about Dawn and their second child.

"Fine, but if anything happens, I automatically blame you and you're grounded until you go back to Hogwarts." Susanna squealed and hugged her father. "Merlin, you rock! I have to tell Bryce!"

It struck him as funny that when Ginny ran away with Draco Malfoy, they had adopted a five year old child, the same age as Sanna and Tash. Susanna didn't see the fallen look on her father's face as she raced from the room.

Charlie sighed and looked to his bedside table, where, in the drawer, he knew there was a photo of himself, Dawn and their six month old daughters. He sighed again and heard the crackling of their fireplace in the living room.

Whenever Charlie thought of Dawn or Natasha, he always felt like running to Susanna and confessing everything but he had thought it best that she had not have to think about her twin sister, when she had no idea where in the world she was.
