Epilogue

Standard disclaimer applies.

A/N: Well, I know I said there would be a sequel. Guess what? I was wrong. I can admit it, I was wrong. At least for the time being. I’ve taken too much on my plate and have too many ideas and unfinished stories hanging about. I’ve also got a real life, not a very exiting one, but work and school (History this year) plays a big part. So, this is the end of Willow Alberta Bartlet’s saga.

CHAPTER 6 : EPILOGUE
I'm alone when the ghost starts to hunt
I'm alone, but I know I'm in love
With a beautiful girl
She's the one from the magical world
And I hold her now
When the rain starts to fall
I'm not afraid
I'm not afraid to move on

After a long and hot summer it was finally raining in Washington, DC. It had been decided that Willow would, instead of living in the White House and going to Georgetown, get an apartment with Zoey. As Zoey had said when she had persuaded the parental units, it made sense for them to live together. Ron Butterfield had agreed, but pointed out that two of them made an even bigger target than just one.

Her classes were fun, challenging and she took math to the pleasure of the president. Not much, but enough to get her off the hook. Josh had bothered so much about physics, so she’d enrolled in that as well. She’d met quite a lot of nice people in her classes, and Zoey had introduced her to some of her friends as well, so friendless she wasn’t. It was hard though, having to socialize with Secret Service breathing down her neck.

Living with Zoey was easier than living with Buffy had been. Of course Buffy and her had always had some major disaster in their lives and not a whole lot of time to work on their friendship. Zoey was always ready for a night with videos and snacks. Could she sneak Charlie in, all the better. Willow didn’t mind. Charlie had become almost like Xander to her, a good friend whom she could trust.

“Hey, you ready?”

“Yeah, just let me finish this.” He typed a few more words before he pushed the laptop together and put it in his bag. “I’m good to go.”

“Good. I’ve got a basket,” her eyes widened excitedly and he grinned back at her. “You’re supposed to guess what it is?”

“A picnic basket?” The smile turned into a pout.

“You’re no fun at all.”

“That’s not what you said last night.”

“Well, I’m changing my mind. It’s a woman’s prerogative, you know.”

“Yes, I know. Want me to guess again?”

“Sam and Willow, how – good – to see you,” the President of the United States was standing in the doorway to Sam’s office watching them fight.

“Hi Dad,” Willow went over and kissed him on the cheek. “I was just taking Sam out for lunch in the Rose Garden.”

“We have a mess in this building,” the president pointed out. He wanted to add “where there are other people.” But he’d been strongly advised against doing anything at all to damage Willow’s relationship with Sam, by Abby. “You might want to eat inside.”

“Dad, don’t be a bore. Come on, Sam. Before the chicken gets cold.”

The president was left standing alone in Sam’s office.

“I’m not a bore.”

Little end note: So I said I would wait for Sam and Willow to get together. Well, I lied.
