Percy/Faith

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
They were polar opposites. They had nothing in common.
She was un-classifiable, un-definable and totally unique. He was just another non-descript Ministry assistant with glasses and worn robes who could blend into a throng of people almost anywhere.
He did the most boring sort of governmental work the world. She saved the world.
She was beautiful. Enchantingly so. Chocolate eyes, ivory skin, chestnut hair, raspberry lips. He was simple; amber eyes, copper hair and freckles.
His world had always been black and white until he’d met her. Her world had always been shades of grey. He was light grey with white in his past. She was shades of dark grey, with black in her past.
She could always be found in leather, denim or silk. Sometimes all three at once. He could always be found in tweed or a worn down pair of work robes.
She butchered the English language. He spoke it using real words and proper grammar.
He called her his firecracker. She called him Princess Margaret.
She was fiercely loyal to those she cared for. He’d chosen his job over his family.
She was a Slayer. She was a force of nature when she believed in something. He was human. He walked away from the things that mattered most.
He’d never known anyone like her. She’d told him, she used to know a guy who exactly like he was, then he’d done something stupid and gotten himself killed.
She was honest, sometimes brutally so. He preferred tact.
They were total opposites but maybe that old saying was right. Maybe opposites really did attract. Or maybe they had more in common than either of them realized.
