It wasn't what he expected to be doing following one of the biggest battles of his life. He did not expect to be sipping tea with an old professor from school and being offered a job. A teaching job no less. The offer was unexpected, but that was his life.


His friends are all dead, but were they really friends anymore? He wishes. Wishes he could say he was as close to Gunn and Angel as when they started out, back in the beginning, when things had been better. He knows that's not true. That happy life they led was all before the prophecy. Before he stole Angel's son. Before the apocalypse. Before Cordelia and Fred died. Before he stabbed Gunn. That was so long ago. By the end none of them really knew each other very well.


Now he's the only one left. How? He doesn't know. Why? He's not really sure. He shouldn't be. He's not the one who deserved to survive the fight, he expected to kill him. No such luck. They're the lucky ones. The ones who are no longer imprisoned here. He's just the one who got left behind.


Yes. He'll take the job. He'll join in the war against Voldermort. He's got nothing better to do. LA has nothing to offer him anymore, it hasn't for quite a while. The job starts very soon. He's already said yes. There's no backing out now. He's a man of his word...... well for the most part.
