I'm still developing my story, and hopefully, future chapters will be longer. Constructive suggestions are welcome.

Willow grasped the letter tightly. It was her only connection to the future, it seemed. She'd arrived this morning at Heathrow, and, following Giles' directions, she took the Piccadilly Tube line into Central London.

"Your magic will guide you from there," he'd said cryptically.

Willow sighed. What had Giles meant? Should she create a sort of divining rod to find the magical community? Having a floating, glow-y marble of magic to guide her sounded reassuring, but this was London. She doubted people had the same attitude of ignoring all things strange like they did in Sunnydale. No marble, then.
Walking on, she passed Charing Cross station as she traversed the bright city streets. As she pondered her situation, suddenly it all clicked-- if she'd been the cartoon Velma, a light bulb would have appeared.

"The magic will guide me..." Willow murmured. "Maybe I just need to open up and let my magic find the other magic in the city."

Sitting down on a bench, Willow closed her eyes and took a deep
breath.

She visualized tendrils of magic snaking their way through the city and focused on finding the biggest glowing spot of magic there was. Everything appeared by its magic content, almost as if she was wearing heat-vision goggles. There were small glowing spots all over; a lot of witches must live in London, Willow thought. Mentally, she turned a corner, following a bigger clump of glowing individuals.

There it was, plainly in the middle of a regular street. Her eyes snapped open, and she was back on the bench outside Charing Cross. All she had to do now was retrace her mental journey in reality.
